Let’s raise our voices together on the Summer Solstice in a joyful, heart-opening gathering honouring the longest day of the year. We’ll sing easy-to-learn songs celebrating the light, and all that blooms in nature and within.
We’ll start to gather at 4pm for tea and social, and Leila’s pool will be open to those who’d like to swim (weather permitting)
Our song circle begins at 5pm, with a break for tea. Sylvia will lead us through simple, uplifting songs taught by ear—layering harmony, rhythm, and movement in a welcoming, non-judgmental space. April will lead some vocal play and circle singing, and accompany us on percussion.
As an option, stay for dinner starting at 7pm. We’ll share a nourishing three-course Indian dinner (vegetarian) made by Leila, our host. A time to relax, enjoy, and connect.
As the evening unfolds, you’re welcome to stay for a casual gathering and song sharing; all are welcome to offer a song, sing or drum along, or simply listen. If the weather is good, we’ll sing around a campfire, carrying the spirit of the solstice into the evening light.
You may wish to bring a swimsuit and towel, and dress in warm layers for the evening.
